Once again, this is another little sister of one of my past clients. Five years ago, I worked with Olivia’s sister and had an amazing time with this family creating very unique senior pictures for their daughter. What a joy it was to hear from Olivia’s mom this summer to schedule Olivia’s senior portrait session. Once we had everything set up for her shoot in September (on the one weekend of the year, she was not busy with sports), her mom said, “By the way, you should know that Olivia is 6’2″.” Woah! This gorgeous girl owns it! Just check out her stilettos in the first outfit below. She put those on and she was easily 6’7″! This senior is a star athlete at her school in Topeka and has signed to play two sports at Baker University next year. We had so much fun incorporating her sports into her senior pictures. From start to finish, this senior session was off the charts amazing!
Here’s what Olivia’s mom had to say about their senior portrait experience with Thrive Seniors:
Heidi, four years ago we were fortunate enough to come across the Thrive Seniors website when we were hunting for a photographer for Taryn. We fell in love with her pictures back then and I was thrilled when Olivia chose to have you take her senior pictures as well. Adding Ashley Nelson Studios as professional make-up artist was the icing on the cake. She is amazing!!! You really go out of your way to pamper your clients and make sure every detail is thought through. We both appreciated your willingness to reschedule Olivia’s shoot due to the threat of thunderstorms. It just goes to show how truly caring you are. It was such an amazing experience the first time and it was even more amazing this time. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and I can’t wait to see Olivia’s pictures. – Diane
I meet Korbyn about 7 years ago on her sister’s senior portrait session with me! I was so thrilled when her mom called me to book Korbyn’s session. I remembered her sister, her session and Korbyn for those many years ago. They planned Korbyn’s photo shoot on a day when her sister would be home from California so that she could be a part of the shoot. I know it was a special day for them, and it really was for me to. It was also really, really fun! I got some awesome pictures of the girls together sporting their KU pride and then all dressed up. We tried to recreate a picture I took of them from her sister’s senior shoot. What a great day! Korbyn had such fun outfits and style. I love her pictures!
It always means so much to me when I have a family return for a younger sibling’s senior pictures. Meet Mattie. Mattie is the baby of this family….and the only girl. So, for her mom it was such a different experience this time around for senior pictures with me. For most senior girls, senior pictures is something they have been looking forward to and thinking about for a long time. The outfit selection process is far more involved than that of senior guys and the level of excitement for this day is beyond words. Mattie and her mom put together amazing outfits that worked perfectly with Mattie’s personality and coloring and with the locations we chose. When she pulled out that first red dress with the turqouise jewelry and cowboy boots, I went crazy! It photographed terrifically! And that scenario just continued for the rest of the shoot with every outfit she brought. Just gorgeous!!
Here is what Mattie and her mom had to say about their senior portrait experience with Thrive Seniors:
I have only seen one picture from my shoot with you so far, and I was beyond pleased!! The colors in the background really popped and the contrasting was beautiful! I couldn’t have asked for a better session full of laughs, beautiful scenery, and fun pictures. I knew going into it that it was going to be a great experience because of how well you did my older brothers senior pictures, but I was blown away with my session. You made me feel comfortable infront of the camera and it all came together so easily. I am so glad I reccomended you to lots of my friends and I can’t wait to see their reactions to your amazing work as well. Thanks for making my experience one to remember! – Mattie
As I expected, I was moved to tears watching Mattie’s photo shoot. You really captured her personality and it shined in every setting you chose. We talked all the way home how much fun it was and such beautiful scenery. You and your assistant, Kristen, made it so fun! It seemed more like a girls night out with laughter and many wardrobe changes! You made it a fun night starting with the amazing makeup done by Ashley Nelson to the car ride down to The Plaza. Mattie loved every minute of it and so did I. You made it memorable for both of us. – Marti
