What a blast it was to meet Nikayla, her granddad, mom and BFF, Alex for Nikayla’s Senior Session. She is a fun SMNW Senior who plays softball and loves the city. It was a gorgeous day today and her pictures are looking sweet! Here’s a few to wet your appetite!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture! I think she was smiling at her entourage (i.e. family)!
Look at those eyes! Owwee!
Okay, so I totally love the parking garage shots!
Nikayla and her favorite backdrop….the city!
Love the way the colors of the wall and her hair and shirt work it together!
You almost wouldn’t believe the things that have happened on the route to take Chelsie’s senior pictures. After two rain outs, we finally had our session booked for beautiful Overland Park Arboretum. It was an absolutely gorgeous day….finally! So, we get there and there is a sign stating that the mosquitoes were thick and to use the provided bug repellent. What an understatement! The mosquitoes were everywhere! I have never seen so many. We took about 10 shots and decided to leave. They were landing on her face, all over my camera, swarming all around me and her and there was no way we could deal with that for 2 hours. We are just hoping the parks department will refund our $50 fee. So, we put our heads together and Chelsie and her parents were so wonderful and willing to run to west Olathe with me for her pictures. Not exactly the Arboretum in all its splendor, but Chelsie looked great no matter what the backdrop. I think her pictures turned out phenomenal and I can’t wait to show her all of them! Thanks Chelsie and mom and dad for being so wonderful to work with.
Hey guys, guess what I forgot to do in the above picture? Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it!! Ha ha!
Oh yeah, not only did we face swarms of mosquitoes, but then there were grasshoppers and GIANT spiders! Chelsie is a real tropper! Check out this spider that was hanging out behind Chelsie during one pose….YIKES!
Tyler is an awesome young man from Shawnee Mission Northwest and someone I had in my youth group a couple years ago…so, doing his senior pictures was super fun for me. Tyler is well known for his crazy sense of humor (which he definitely gets honestly from his mom). He was telling me about his crazy Cougars football fan hat, which he designed himself, to wear to the games. I’d really love to see it! Tyler was open for anything and we kinda drove around looking for some new spots just for him. I was totally pumped with the places we found! Thanks Tyler, it was a blast!
Not your typical senior picture, but I couldn’t resist the sun flare and how sweet it looks in this setting.
One of the first of many, many shots…. I think it is a great picture of Tyler.
A sweet location find and even sweeter picture!
We found it! A set of non-operating tracks perfect for photos. Great picture, Tyler!
Seriously, I was seriously excited over this location; just ask Tyler!
I knew the minute I met Kirsan that this was going to be one Fun (yes, with a capital F) shoot! I absolutely had the best time with this spunky, cute, gorgeous and photogenic Senior! She Worked it (yes, with a capital W)! Needless to say, it was hard to pick out just a few awesome pictures to show you, Kirsan….I don’t know how in the world you are going to choose! Enjoy these for now….more coming soon!
There is so much I could say about this wonderful family. What great blessings so many of them have been in my life! I’ve been on mission trips with some of them, lead some in youth ministry, been in the greatest small group Bible study with one of them, been friends with them for years, worship God with many of them every week, had my first newborn session with one of them….wow! It was such a privelge to take these pictures. The weather forced us indoors for these, but all went well. This is a BIG family – many more and the staircase wouldn’t have held them all! Thanks everyone! I will have all of them for you late next week.
4 or 5 straight days of rain may have canceled lots of sessions, but this wonderful Monday brought sunshine and the perfect temperature fall day and happily for Kim, today was her big day! A wonderful senior with BIG plans ahead, we had such a nice time taking these awesome pics. Thanks so much! It was such a pleasure for me.
My favorite – the rock was there just for Kim! And we did find a couple of sunflowers left!
The penquins Kim remembers from her trips to the Plaza when she was little.
These turned out so sweet! Can’t wait for you to see the rest.
Finally, a brother/sister picture.
Saturday’s rain out turned out to not be so bad….today was fab-u-lous and picture perfect! Holly and her mom couldn’t have been nicer and our shoot at Loose Park and the River Market was just great! Holly has the most gorgeous smile and eyes and she is so happy that it wasn’t even physically possible to get a “serious” picture. No problem though, her pictures captured who she really is.
Sun-kissed and sensational!
Check out those red pumps! Sweet!
Her eyes are amazing.
Rockin the fire escape – (Holly, these turned out so cool!)
Do those eyes match that wall or what?
Wow – Holly, so gorgeous! Thanks again!
