Well, it seems that senior portrait season is back on!  There’s a small little break from about mid-May to mid-June and then the sessions start gearing up.     I was so excited to meet Kaitlyn and her mom downtown for her senior pictures.    Kaitlyn is a senior at Blue Valley High and just beautiful.  What a blessing it was to take her pictures!

Yesterday I posted images of Pardeep’s sister, Navdeep.  Both are coming upon monumental achievements in life; a high school graduation and Pardeep’s college graduation from UMKC.   They each did a Sweet & Simple Session and spent an hour each with me on separate days creating pictures that were special for them.  For Navdeep, we headed to the city streets, but for Pardeep, we went to one of the most beautiful gardens in Kansas City.  We went early to beat the heat and had a lovely time.  Pardeep is just beautiful and her images reflect that!

I’ve gotten a little behind on my blogging lately.  Not sure, what’s up with that, but I’m going to do my best to get back on track this week.  I think I owe you, my blog world friends, about 7 posts!  Yikes…. I better get busy!   I have been totally thrilled to be shooting and meeting some incredible young women and young families.  I am looking forward to a shoot this week with a precious newborn of someone so special to me. So, be on the look out for that mid-week!    I am so blessed by this “work”. 

For now, please let me introduce to you the beautiful Mikala!  She is an amazing, smart, athletic, talented and gorgeous senior this year at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and one of  Thrive Senior’s representatives.   Despite heat and humidity (which clearly does not show on this girl), we had a fun time creating a great portfolio of senior pictures for her.  I am thrilled with them!

Amanda was a senior client of mine who contacted me about wanting to do something special for her mom for mother’s day this year.  She wanted to have a special photo session of just the two of them and give this as a gift to her mom.    This crazy wet weather that Kansas City has been having lately almost derailed us!  The moment they arrived it started to sprinkle.  As we waited it out, discussing our rescheduling plan, there was a break and enough time to do the session and create some really special pictures of the two of them.  Honestly, they look like they could be sisters and are both completely gorgeous!  Thanks guys!

What a fun session this was!  It was the perfect weather and we had some great locations for Jordan’s senior pictures.  I have to say that Jordan completely hit the ball out of the park with her wardrobe for her senior pictures.  Her use of colors, layering, accessories and different styles really looked amazing and of course, she finished up the shoot with her Kansas State shirt against a puple wall, which just put the cherry on top!
