The lastest Thrive Seniors SpokesModel comes from Shawnee Mission West High School!  Amanda is a really neat young lady and we had such a tremendous time on her photo shoot.  We spent some great time exploring the Crossroads Arts District and came up with these ridiculously great pictures!

So, it was that really crazy hot and humid weekend in June when Jamie’s senior picture session was planned.  We were supposed to begin her portrait session at like 5:30 pm, but since I didn’t have a booking in the morning I suggested we change it to beat some of the heat.  Half joking, I stated that the most perfect light was around 6:30 am.  I’ve never had a senior want to do a session at 6:30 in the morning…..until Jamie!  The light was awesome and even though it was still pretty hot even at 7:00 in the morning, it was a scorcher later that day and I was so thankful that she took me up on the suggestion.  We totally lucked out that the gardener was at Kauffman Gardens that early to also beat the heat and get his watering done.  Their sign says they are open “Dawn to Dusk”, so I figured dawn is….well, dawn.  Turns out that dawn is 8:00 am, but he was kind enough to let us come in and shoot, but warned me to not plan any more 6:30 am shoots at Kauffman.    Will do, kind gardener, will do.

When Thrive Seniors claims to create unique and creative senior pictures, we mean it.    You want your horses in your senior pictures; awesome!   You want to add a Harley to the mix too; super!  Want to shoot on the campus of Baker University; no problem!  That’s exactly what Taryn was looking for to make her senior portraits unique.  Taryn came all the way from Topeka to meet up with me and I am super thrilled with her pictures.  It was unbelievably hard to narrow it down for this sneak peek!
