]]> http://thrivecreativestudio.com/blog/the-king-family-creative-family-portraits-kansas-city-photography/feed/ 0 sweet sweet baby g | kansas city creative newborn photography http://thrivecreativestudio.com/blog/sweet-sweet-baby-g-kansas-city-creative-newborn-photography/ http://thrivecreativestudio.com/blog/sweet-sweet-baby-g-kansas-city-creative-newborn-photography/#comments Mon, 12 Jul 2010 22:34:45 +0000 Heidi Abbott http://thrivecreativestudio.com/blog/?p=2518 This was a very special newborn shoot for me.  You see, the new mommy, Natalie, is a beautiful young woman whom I have been blessed to know since she was in 7th grade and a student in the youth group that I pastored.  She and I have had our really special moments over these years; we went on mission trips, camps and retreats together, and worked together to build one of the best youth worship bands in Kansas City.  Natalie is an anointed worship leader and she started with a bunch of other hungry 15 year olds in the youth room at Church of the Harvest.  She decided to quit basketball in 8th grade to be part of our worship team and eventually she was leading it and it was phenomenal!  Now, she is married to an awesome man, David, and she and David our the current youth pastors at the church where I once lead her.    Isn’t God just so good?

So beautiful baby Gabby and I had our first meeting when she was 5 days old and these are the sweet little images that she gave me.   Love. Love. Love.  With all my heart!

Talk about a good looking family?  Wow!

My first Pictures of Hope Foundation complimentary NICU session was with the beautiful Smith family and one of their twin boys.  I met with them again to capture brother.  Both boys are home now and doing great.  Prayers answered!

The adorable Park maternity session was such fun and memorable.

The Rebers took advantage of one of my Mini Session Days this fall to get this and other great family pictures.

Another great wedding that I had the opportunity to second shoot with Laurel Austin of Living Moment Images.   It was a HOT one, but doesn’t the green grass and the sunshine looks so amazing right now?    I don’t know about you, but I am ready for it! 

This next picture is from a couple who did a Belly and Baby Session with me.  We had a blast shooting their maternity session at the River Market and I posted a fun picture from that a couple weeks ago in my Favorite Four.  Today, I picked a fun shot from their newborn photography session when Kallie was just 10 days old.  This shot was their idea because they both have very big feet and Kallie was born with feet that actually went off the page for the birth document! 

Kimmie is an amazing senior from St. Pius X High School and this is one of my favorite pictures of her.

Another amazing senior from Olathe Northwest, Lauren, had a shoot full of fall goodness – sunshine and vibrant leaves.

We found out quickly after taking this great shot that sitting in the “art” on the lawn at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum is discouraged; well, prohibited is a better word.  So Meagan got a pretty unique photograph, since I will never do that again. 

Could any family be more adorable than this?  Really.  I love every single face in this picture.  I love how the son on daddy’s back has some awesome hair sticking up and how daddy and the other boy are looking at each other.  I love it all!

Pretty sure that Chelsey’s grandma was providing some laughter during this shot.  This was one of their favorites and mine as well.

I got the opportunity to second shoot the wedding of Dea and Larry with Laurel Austin of Living Moments Photography last September.  It was gorgeous and I love so many of the pictures I took, but these two shots from right after the wedding, in my opinion, are priceless.  Dea’s cousin was causing a laugh riot.
