Today, I’m just getting right to it…..ta da! Short and sweet today.
Jaclyn and her horse…wow! We had an amazing shoot out at Jaclyn’s property including streams, horses and fields. We ventured a bit down the road and found an old abandoned tractor in some beautiful flowery weeds. My kind of shoot!
I love shooting at the River Market! Pumpkins and belly shots; gotta love it! Josh and Shelby were such a stylish and fun maternity couple and soon you will see a shot from their newborn session.
Who would have guessed that we would have had such a great day for senior pictures in late November? This is one of my favorites from Courtney’s shoot.
Baptism such an important and special moment in the life of a believer and it is always a joy to me to take pictures of this event at our church.
I thought it would be super fun to post four of my favorite pictures a day for the month of February. These are in no random order and may be my personal favorites for several reasons; it could be I love everything technical about the shot, or I have a fun memory associated with when I took it, or I love the person in it. Pretty much – these pictures just make me smile :) ! So, please come back every day and check it out and feel free to leave me some comment love too!
So, I love this picture for several reasons. One Alysha was about as sweet as they come and gorgeous too. But this particular day wasn’t exactly “picture perfect”; it had rained like the days of Noah the day before, it was about 40 degrees and the wind wasn’t just blowing – it was gusting! But Alysha had a very busy schedule and it was a “now or never” appointment and she was driving over 1.5 hours to meet me. Her pictures – all of them – were spectacular and we were amazed that you couldn’t even tell it was gusty.
I picked this next picture of Amanda because 1) I LOVE COLOR and this so colorful and 2) who doesn’t love a carousel? It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous senior. We had a fun trip to make something totally unique for her senior pictures.
This picture pretty much speaks for itself…..costumes, color, friends, fun! Jenna was one of my senior portrait clients who came back to take some fun and memorable pictures with her best friends before heading off to college. For the last part of the session, they dressed up as Tinkerbell, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland. What’s not to love about this picture?? Seriously, right?
Today’s final pick is, to me, a picture that exudes the love and emotion of a couple waiting for their first child. Matt and Tracy are beautiful people from the inside out and I felt that their maternity session was just magical; from the yummy light to their glowing expressions – it was pure magic.
Blessings to you until next time…..

Josh, Shelby and I had a wonderful time at the River Market on a gorgeous November afternoon creating these and many, many, many more creative maternity portraits. They are anxiously expecting the arrival of their daughter at the first of January…or maybe sooner! This little precious life will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family. I can say from personal experience that being the first is so special and fun! Brandon was the first in our families and you would have thought he was a prince or something. I am so thrilled for them and the blessing of a child being brought into their lives. Life is a precious, precious gift. Thank you God!
Josh and Shelby indulged me in my goofy idea. Don’t hate me… I love it!
Hello gorgeous momma!
Graffiti announcing their Pip Squeak! Hahaha
Matt and Tracy’s baby girl is due in two weeks. They are closing on their first home this week, but yet, they made time for some beautiful pictures to remember this special time. They are going to be such incredible parents and I am so happy for them. We got some great country shots for them. They both grew up on farms and playing in fields, so climbing through and laying down in the tall grass was not big deal. Of course, I doubt much is a big deal for Matt after serving our country on the front lines. What an amazing couple!
O, what a tremendous, tremendous thrill it was to do an urban maternity session yesterday with the adorable couple, Kristi and Colin! What a joy it is to be expecting your first child. 20 years ago, I was exactly as pregnant as Kristi (although undoubtedly much larger!). Their son is due on July 17th and 20 years ago, my son was born on July 15th. 20 years goes by too fast! I am beyond excited over the shots I took. Colin is on the worship team at Evangel Temple and naturally, we had to work his guitar into the shoot. I was giddy over the clothesline pictures….taken in the middle of the city with about a million dogs and owners in the park behind us.
Kristi and Colin, thank you! Thank you for being so adorable, so in love, so excited and sooo photogenic. I am so glad that Amanda blessed you with the gift of custom photography to document this very special moment in your lives. I am praying God’s greatest blessings over this baby and your family.
