I have so many irons on the fire right now, that I’m forgoing the “small talk” to get to right to my favorite four today!
Talk about a good looking family? Wow!
My first Pictures of Hope Foundation complimentary NICU session was with the beautiful Smith family and one of their twin boys. I met with them again to capture brother. Both boys are home now and doing great. Prayers answered!
The adorable Park maternity session was such fun and memorable.
The Rebers took advantage of one of my Mini Session Days this fall to get this and other great family pictures.

Today, my words shall be few. I’m working so hard on finishing my new website.
Chris and Jessica will be getting married on May 8. We had an amazing engagement session and got this shot as the sun was about to go down. I love it!
Kylie is stunning. This picture captured that so well.
I was so pumped when I saw Justin brought his skateboard along for his senior pictures. This is my favorite from his shoot.
I will close with my sweethearts with me while we decorated for Christmas. They may not like this picture much, but it is my desktop background. I simply cannot put in words how much I love these kids!

I’m sitting here jamming out to the new Toby Mac CD “Tonight” - I needed some new tunes for my work out and this is perfect. Go get it at Amazon for only $8.99 ($13.99 at ITunes). The sun was out this morning and it felt like summer…well, not really, but 41 degrees felt like a heat wave. It made me even more anxious for spring to get here and to be out shooting Seniors again and my three weddings coming up!! Since I’m feeling funky from my Toby Mac music and ready for some sunshiny weather, I will pick four photos from shoots last summer. Have a great weekend Blogland!
Lauren came up from Chanute for her senior session and totally knocked it out of the ballpark! She is gorgeous.
This was one of those hot, hot, hot days of August, but can’t tell it by looking at Erin. She even put on her letter jacket for some shots in the woods. We had a vintage convertible for her session and then went to Falcon Ridge Golf Course to finish up. That was fun!

An end of summer session with Christina in Lenexa was full of new places and a very beautiful Shawnee Mission Northwest graduate.

It was hard to pick one of Katie’s because there were so many great shots. Ultimately, I choose this one because I love the colors, her eyes and her great smile.
I had such a fun time on Jordan’s shoot. She brought a friend along and thy were up for anything. I must have graffiti on my mind today with this second graffiti shot!

Day 5 of February’s Favorite Four. I will be back at it on Monday since Sunday is a day of rest! Have a great weekend everyone.
I love this picture for so many, many reasons! I completely loved working with Kelsey, one of my Senior Spokesmodels, and her shoot was full of laughter and fun. I about went crazy over this window display at the River Market Antique Mall. They do some pretty fun displays and this one just worked perfectly with her outfit and her personality. Isn’t it fun?
This is one beautiful girl here. Personally, I think she is a natural as a child model. Don’t you?
I don’t just love this picture because we had a cat show up and visit us during this part of our shoot, but it doesn’t hurt! Emily was adorable enough, but then the cat shows up and was all over her with it’s adorableness.
Maybe today is animal day. I didn’t really think about it when I picked this picture of Ali and her dog, Zoe, as one of my favorites. Since I really stress being unique and individual, it only makes since to allow clients to include a special pet in their portraits. It is so worth it!
Today we are adding a member to our family. A little puppy is coming to live with us. I am sure I will post pictures of her soon, but I thought I better get my favorite four posted now before things get crazy around here. Without further ado…..today’s Favorite Four….
Because I thrive on uniqueness and creativity, going to a race track and posing a gorgeous girl with a dragster was ubber exciting! I love shooting on location. Sometimes when I think about having a studio, I think I would miss the excitement of going someplace new and creating portraits for clients that really are original and capture the essence of who they are. This senior, Hannah, was not only a dragster champion, but an honor student and cheerleader and in her session we were able to capture all sides of her. I love it!
Every time I go back to Greg and Amy’s engagement session pictures, I am always drawn to this one. They are all amazing in their own way and really captured the playfulness and fun of their relationship, but this shot in particular, at least to me, gets me right in the heart and puts a lump in my throat. I loved the location, the setting of the sun streaming over them and the snap of the shot just before the kiss.
I guess I really like sunset pictures because this is another picture that I go to in my love pile. Morgan, one of Thrive’s Senior Spokesmodels, had her session on a smoking hot day. We tried some shots with a colorful ice cream cone and it melted in seconds…not exactly my best idea ever….but, you would have never known by looking at her portfolio that she was in the least bit hot. She is a strikingly beautiful girl and you can see her entire portfolio here, but this is the one I’m choosing for a favorite of mine. Doesn’t it look like it should be on the cover of Seventeen magazine or something?
For Katy’s shoot, we went a couple of places and we finished up on some railroad tracks with her guitar in hand. I have some other favorites of hers that include her on the tracks with her guitar as the sun streams over her, but since I think I’ve pretty much worn out the sun flare pictures today, I picked this other guitar shot that I am crazy over. Katy has amazing blue eys and she shines so bright in this shot.
