Thank you Chris and Jessica for having me photograph your important day!  I had such a great time working with you guys; from our beautiful fall engagement session, to our snowy quick session in January to your wonderful wedding day, it was all so fun!  Thanks so much.

I want to just say how very blessed I was that Amy & Greg chose me to be their wedding photographer knowing that theirs would be the first wedding I shot as the main photographer.  They actually booked me before I had even second shot a single wedding.  That is faith!  I really had an amazing time working with them; from their gorgeous engagement session to this wonderful wedding day.   I know without a doubt that their wedding will always hold a special place in my heart.  Thank you two so much.  I wish you God’s very best blessings on your life together.

Amy’s parents live out in the country, which gave me some fun areas to do shots of her dress, shoes and other details.

I simply could not pick just one ring shot!  The rings are spectacular enough alone, but wowza!

Greg & Amy opted for a “First Look” and to see each other before the ceremony.  It was such a special, private moment and we were able to spend some great time before the wedding getting pictures of the two of them and we finished ALL the group and family shots before the ceremony so they could get right off to the reception.

I love these shots I got of their parents.  Don’t they all look so, so happy & proud?  Quick…I need a tissue!

We found out quickly after taking this great shot that sitting in the “art” on the lawn at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum is discouraged; well, prohibited is a better word.  So Meagan got a pretty unique photograph, since I will never do that again. 

Could any family be more adorable than this?  Really.  I love every single face in this picture.  I love how the son on daddy’s back has some awesome hair sticking up and how daddy and the other boy are looking at each other.  I love it all!

Pretty sure that Chelsey’s grandma was providing some laughter during this shot.  This was one of their favorites and mine as well.

I got the opportunity to second shoot the wedding of Dea and Larry with Laurel Austin of Living Moments Photography last September.  It was gorgeous and I love so many of the pictures I took, but these two shots from right after the wedding, in my opinion, are priceless.  Dea’s cousin was causing a laugh riot.

So, apparently, it takes a “team” to lace up a wedding dress.  The ladies were awesome!  Her bridesmaids were totally there for her.  Their relationships were fun to watch.

I caught this quick moment between Dea and her dear friend.

The Reveal -  Larry anxiously awaits Dea for their first look before the ceremony.  They shared gifts with each other a watch for him and a Tiffany ring for her.

This picture had a “timeless” quality about it, so I converted it and added some grain.

After the ceremony, sharing some champagne and great laughter!  Dea’s cousin had them all rolling.

The Tiffany Springs Community Center’s pool was still uncovered, so a reflective picture was in order.  Look, you can see the clouds in the water.

I am so thankful that Laurel asked me to help her shoot this wedding.  I really enjoyed the entire day and the people we met.  I feel like I am learning a lot about being a wedding photographer.  I am glad to have the opportunity to be an “assistant” shooter, but get every detail as if I were the main shooter.  I have two wedding booked for 2010 and am excited for what more may come.  If you are reading this blog, please let me know what you think of my “third” time shooting a wedding.  I’d love to know what you think.
