chris & jessica | kansas city engagement photography

I super excited about shooting Chris and Jessica’s upcoming wedding in May next year and had a great afternoon with them hanging out in their hometown of Tonganoxie, Kansas!  This was my first time to Tonganoxie and I have to say, it was quite a beautiful area.  The downtown strip looks like most small towns, but provided some really fun spots to shoot.   Chris and Jessica have probably driven past that broken down truck a million times, and never dreamed they’d take engagement pictures in front of it.    I threw in a funny picture at the end of this post from that spot too.   First, they took me to what used to be the oldest bridge in Tonganoxie, but it wasn’t the bridge we were after, it was the view from the bridge.  Chris and Jessica climbed down this amazing rock cliff.  Unfortunately, weather forced us to reschedule our first appointment because we missed a lot of the amazing Kansas fall colors.  It was still a gorgeous day and really fun.  I can hardly wait for May 8th!

I couldn’t resist this shot!  Everyone knows the man is the king of the house, right?  Well, at least one room!
